San Diego Beach Photography

San Diego Beach Photography is one of my favorite things to do as a photographer.  The beach in San Diego is one of the best places for portrait sessions.  I have always loved photographing families and children on the beaches along the beautiful coastline.  There are so many amazing spots to go! I tend to do a lot of photo sessions at Carlsbad State beach, the Hotel Coronado beach,  La Jolla Windansea beach and Mission Bay beach.  The weather in San Diego is rarely bad for photo sessions! I love the sunrise and sunset times for portraits because the lighting is just amazing.

I photographed this beautiful, fun family in Mission Beach.  They were so ready for any and all pictures and it made the photo session so incredibly easy and fun for me!  I asked one of the family members, Sarah, some questions about this session and through-out the pictures you’ll see the result of that!

Me:  “What was your reason for planning this session?”

Sarah: “We planned this session for my sister in-laws. It was a birthday gift to her.  in the 16 years that my partner and I have been together. We have never had family pictures taken.”

Did you hear that? Never had family pictures taken! And they completely rocked it. I am so happy they have these memories!!

Me: “What was your biggest fear before hiring me?
Sarah: “I was worried our group was to big to get good photos. I was thinking that because we wanted to do different groupings of people together that it would have to be an extra lengthy session.”

Me: “Did it come true, and if not, what happened instead?”
Sarah: “My fear didn’t come true. The session was perfect. Kristin was able to get so many good shots with all the grouping of people together in just an hour.”

This is many people’s fear when hiring a photographer, especially when there are little kids involved. I kept their session to an hour and we got every combo/grouping possible for their San Diego Beach Photography session. Plus we had FUN doing it!

Me: “What, specifically, was your favorite part of your session, and why?”
Sarah: “I loved how personable Kristin was. She got along great with the family she fit right in. She had all of us smiling and laughing. She kept the kids engaged the whole time!!”

I’m telling you, a photo session with me is bound to be a good time and bring a lot of smiles. I absolutely adore San Diego Beach Photography and have been doing it for well over a decade!

Me: “If you were to recommend us to your best friend, what would you say?”
Sarah: “Girl! You have to hire Kristin for your next picture session!! Her photos are ahh-mazing!!. And she is so sweet. My family loved her. She took some magical shots of me and Leon (her partner) that literally made me tear up!!
