Meet Rod and May. . .one of the sweetest couples I’ve met in this photography journey of mine. I adored the dress she chose as I am a huge fan of flowy material in pregnancy portraits. They are expecting their first baby in September and hopefully daddy, who is about to leave on deployment, will be back for the big event!
I did get a little emotional when editing these pictures. I know our family is complete, but it’s still hard to come to grips with the fact that I won’t ever be experiencing pregnancy or childbirth again. Did those of you who were finished ever feel that way???? I know never to say never, but we’ve (my husband and I of course 😉 ) have thought long and hard about it and had many discussions about it. We feel quite blessed with the three we have and I think four children might make me a whole lot nuttier than I already am! 🙂
Ok, ok, I’ll stop blabbering! Onto the gorgeous glowing couple.
And my absolute fav from the session. . .it makes me sigh with happiness. To me it symbolizes this huge wide open world out there ready for their sweet baby to make it’s entrance into. I can’t wait to meet him!

Beautiful work, Kristin! The last is my fave. I know exactly what you mean about being sad about not being pregnant ever again. I have two rambunctious little boys and know I couldn’t handle three. Being pregnant is an awesome journey and you capture it so well in photos.

I can totally relate to those feelings, Kristen. Have 3 boys of my own and it was several years before the reality really sunk in. Probably what drives me to take pregnancy and infant portraits today. You are an inspiration of mine and I have you on my blog. So impressed with these shots you shared here. Any chance sharing the lens and settings for these. Sunset pictures are so tricky for me. Appreciate any advice you can give to your pro fans. Keep up the spectacular work!!!

I used my Canon fisheye 15mm lens for the first and last ones and then I used my Canon 24-70L lens for all of the ones in between. Settings were pretty much all over the place as we were moving around so much into areas with different lighting.
