The last few babies that have visited my studio have seriously been model babies. And I don’t just mean how they look although they could be model babies too. What I do mean is their parents tell me how they’ve slept through the night from a very early age and how they never cry. I’ve seen how easygoing these babies are and how enjoyable it makes first-time motherhood. I did not have one of those babies first-time around. My oldest was a wee bit fussy and high-maintenance, not to mention a terrible (Did I say terrible?) sleeper. I did get an easy one next time around though which was nice. I always tell these parents to watch out for that second one haha. Is it bad that I want everyone to experience a difficult newborn? It’s only fair right???? 😉 I kid, I’m happy for them and their 8 hours of sleep straight and the fact they don’t have to bounce their kid to sleep for an hour and that they can put their baby down for 10 minutes while they take a shower and how they can take their baby for a walk in their stroller and how they can drive across town without singing Old MacDonald 40 times so their baby doesn’t scream and how they don’t have to go in their baby’s bedroom 90 times a night and and and. . .  It all seems so long ago now (10 years!) so it’s just a distant memory.  I tell you what though. That feisty newborn of mine is going to be one successful CEO or Doctor or something amazing someday though. <3
