As a mom to 2 high school graduates and one still in high school, I have a good grasp of what this time of life is like. My senior portrait sessions are relaxed, easy and have the best vibes ever. I love creating an experience that you remember with a smile and creating art that will last a lifetime while celebrating your big achievement.

PLANNING & DETAILS

Once you are booked we will work together to prepare for your session! You’ll receive a client questionnaire to help me understand your needs/wants – the better I understand you, the better I can serve you!
CAPTURE THE MOMENT

We’ll meet, have fun, and take pictures of course. I strive to make sessions stress-free and full of fun. I combine authenticity with intentional, meaning you won’t have any awkward or stifled poses, but I will direct you so you feel comfortable.
THE FINAL IMAGES

After your session, I hand-edit each photo for a beautiful final product. Extra time is given to make sure your images reflect my clean, bright, and colorful style. Once your gallery is complete, we will set up a time that works for you to view and choose your images.

Kristin is an absolute gem!

We have used Kristin for multiple occasions including business portfolio portraits, kindergarten photos, family photos and now our oldest son’s senior portraits. She makes every aspect of the process easy and efficient and fun and the final product is always absolutely beautiful. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DO SENIOR PORTRAITS?

This question depends on your specific school and deadlines for yearbook, ads, etc. Many of my seniors need digital pictures in the fall so we do their sessions in the summer to ensure a timely result. I would check with your school to see when they need images of you. I do take senior pictures all year long, but generally spring and summer are the most popular times.

WHAT’S THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR MY SESSION?

Beach sessions are best done at sunrise (hello pastel skies!) or about an hour before sunset (hello golden delicious skies!) although this also depends on the the weather and cloud conditions. Outdoor sessions not at the beach are best done in the early morning or a couple of hours before sunset.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER DOESN’T COOPERATE?

Thankfully in beautiful San Diego, this rarely happens! But in the event of rain, don’t fear, I’m here to help you get rebooked to a better date.

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW TO POSE?

This is where I come in! I will give you posing help all throughout your session and ensure the most flattering angles and poses.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Depending on the session you go with, I would choose 2-3 different “looks” for your session. I always suggest a little dressier outfit (think button-down shirt for guys or a dress for ladies) and something more casual that fits your personality. I can give you more tips on colors and outfits once you choose your location.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE IMAGES?

This is the most exciting part of the whole process and I know it’s hard to wait! Normal turnaround time is 2 weeks after our session. I am generally working on multiple sessions at one time and I strive to deliver each gallery as quickly as possible.
