As a maternity photographer in San Diego County, I absolutely love to capture this beautiful time of life.  Pregnancy is such an amazing thing and I love photographing the baby bump that is part of it all! The best time to capture that beautiful maternity bump is usually between 28-34 weeks of pregnancy.   I love incorporating family photography into my portrait sessions as well.  It’s always a bittersweet experience to go from one baby to two.  Capturing momma with her firstborn before the next baby comes is so special!

As you’ll see below, we had such a gorgeous sunset on Carlsbad Beach. The beaches in California are all so gorgeous so you really can’t lose when choosing one! I also photographed this family’s newest addition so a blog post for that will come soon. In the meantime, enjoy this peek into their maternity portraits. I love them all, but I especially love the ones with their beloved dog and the one of daddy throwing his little guy into the air.

If we do your session at Carlsbad Beach, you can head over to Carlsbad Village after to get some ice-cream or shop at one of the local shops there. Carlsbad is a great place to hang out and people watch and it’s one of my favorite beaches to shoot at!
