Carlsbad Senior Photographer

I love being a Carlsbad Senior Photographer because it means I get to take photos of beautiful people along one of San Diego’s most beautiful beaches! This portrait session was extra special because this is my very own niece. She graduated the same year as my daughter (they were born two weeks apart!).  I have just always thought she was the sweetest thing ever.

This young lady has a heart of gold and an infectious smile. As a baby, while my own daughter was spicy and strong-willed, my niece was the opposite….content and easy-going. She is still that way to this day and what fun it has been to see the differences in both of them growing up. Enjoy seeing some of her senior portraits along Carlsbad State Beach!

I love doing photography in San Diego and the beach is one of my favorite spots to capture families and seniors. The beach is one of those locations that a family should have a professional photography session done at at least once! I love the variety of sunsets and colors that happen close to sunset. Even if it’s cloudy (like it was this day), the blues in the ocean and sky are just waiting to burst in my editing process. So really, there’s almost no bad time to take photos at the beach….unless maybe it’s raining or super windy which rarely happens in sunny San Diego!

I am a huge fan of this spot along in Carlsbad because of the variety I can photograph there. I love the look of the rocks, cliffs and the greenery backdrop. Plus there’s a lifeguard stand nearby that always makes a great, colorful photo-op as well.   After your session, you can head over to Handel’s nearby for their amazing malts or ice cream!
