san diego photographer | 26 on fridays | week 11

I’m a bit behind on this week’s project and it’s not groundbreaking to say the least. But I did it! I do have a good excuse I think in that my eyes have been giving me a lot of trouble this past couple of weeks. I think it’s dry eye syndrome but they’ve been super sensitive to light, incredibly red, and everything has been a bit blurry. It sure doesn’t make being on the computer fun! Anyhow, the theme for our 26 Week Photography Project this week was “A Day in my Life”. The one thing that stays pretty consistent in my life (besides Starbucks lol), is doing Crossfit with my girlfriends. I’ve been doing Crossfit for years and didn’t really start enjoying it until this past year. My husband got me started on it and he’s been an excellent instructor for all of us. Not sure what changed to make me start enjoying this crazy workout! I am so thankful for my workout buddies and how far we’ve all come.

Below you’ll find ONE example of hundreds of different types of workouts we do each week. We rarely repeat the same workout and they always kick our butts! And yes, our friend “H” super kicked our butts on that workout!!!!

Our circle was a bit slow to complete this time around, but I do believe the talented Jessica Drossin will be posting today!

Dream, dream, dream. . .that is the theme for our 26 Week Photography Project this week.  Now the image below is not something I typically do. And I have to admit that I get quite a giggle out of it. I wanted to do something different then I would normally do for a theme like this, such as one of my kids daydreaming in a field or sleeping in their bed at night. The other day my kids were watching a super-hero movie and Brayden commented that it would be “really awesome” to be able to fly in the air. How many kids dream about being able to do that?!? Probably most of them! So it only seemed logical to try and make his little dream come to life.:)Now, don’t judge the quality, but it was really fun to try and that’s what this project has been all about for me. . .pushing me outside of my norm.   I hope you get a little giggle out of it too! Happy Friday!

Don’t forget to complete the circle! Next, stop on by the super amazing Jessica Drossin!

san diego twin photographer | abraham and winston

I cannot believe it has taken me until now to share these!! This adorable duo belong to my 1st cousin, Joleen and her husband Eric. Joleen moved away a few years back so back in December was the first time I got to meet little Abraham and Winston. I quickly fell in love with them! Not only because I am a twin myself, but because these two seriously have the most awesome little personalities. I really wish I could see them (and my cousin!) more often.:(They are like 2 little old men which makes their little men outfits so perfect for them. Enjoy these 2 cuties. . .I know you will catch yourself saying “Awwww”!

One more quick share today of lil’ Miss Charlotte. Another gorgeous newborn I had the pleasure of photographing!! It’s been a busy spring over here and this next month is no exception. I have a lot of mommas just waiting for their new babies to be born.

I have so many pictures from recent sessions I want to share so I’m trying to get a little caught up. Little Tyler was a bit older for a newborn, but he did great and it was worth working for those sleeping shots of him. . .check out those amazing eyelashes!! Such a beautiful baby! Have a great week everyone!
