My baby turned four last week and it was SO bittersweet for me. In one sense, I mourned the fact that I have no toddlers or babies around anymore to cuddle. But in the other sense, I rejoiced in the new phase of life where there aren’t poopy-diapered kids hanging on my leg and needing constant attention. I LOVE LOVE LOVE babies. Anyone who knows me, knows how much this is true. But luckily for me, I get to snuggle sweet newborns for my job and that has been wonderful to help ease the pain of being in a “baby-less” household. Well that and the fact that I am SO enjoying some new-found freedom in being able to go to book club, girls night outs, and other social outlets and not having to worry about having babies or toddlers at home at home needing me.

So, here are some captures of my rambunctious, loveable, squeezable, smooch-able four-year-old. He loves to be sneaky and his facial expressions crack me up. I love this kid to the moon and back and could not imagine our lives without him.

Yes, I know we are in week 8. . .I was a slacker last week on the project. BUT in my defense, I have been working my tail off painting and getting our new house ready to move into. So things have been a bit hectic to say the least!!! We are on the home stretch now and the new flooring is going in this week. YIPPEEEEE!!!!

In the midst of all of the chaos, my BABY boy is going to turn two this week.I have to say that I am pretty sad about this. We are done having kids and now I will never have another “baby” in the house. Instead my baby will turn into a 2 year old wild man. Granted, he’s been preparing me for that this last few months, but it still makes me sad that he will be two.

Here he is in all of his cuteness. . .leftover paint in his hair and all. I think we ruined 2 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and 2 sweatshirts in the painting process!

Week 5! I decided to get one of the three of them together similar to one I did of them together when my little destroyer was only a few months old.

Also, I have some very exciting news! We are moving and the new place we will be has a fabulous, large room perfect for a studio!! I am so excited to be able to have this as an option, especially for my newborn client’s. Stay tuned for pics in the next few months!

He’s fast, he’s crazy, he climbs, he falls, he falls A LOT, and he gets into EVERYTHING. He’s the destroyer.Just one look at his sweet face, and he melts your heart and all the naughtiness just kind of disappears. Until you find the area where he dumped out an entire bottle of ranch dressing, or where he pooped on the carpet and you accidentally step in it, or when your toilet is clogged with a bath toy and needs to be taken apart, or your new thing of mascara is now all over his clothes and face, or . . .or. . .or. . . Then he looks at you with those eyes and those cheeks jiggling when he walks, and you can’t get too mad. It’s all a vicious circle. . .he’s here to destroy and melt hearts. He’s almost two and he’s preparing us well for it.

Don’t let that innocent face fool you. . .

Now who has Mr. Roger’s song going through their head?

Facebook is not just for the youngster’s anymore folks. They have these pages you can create for your business and people can add themselves as fans. How fun is that? So now I can feel super cool with my many fans. . .only I have to beg for fans so I’m not sure if that should make me feel un-cool. I won’t tell anyone if you don’t.To make a long story long, go here and become my fan. Kristin Rocks! I plan on using this page to post updates to my blog and add pictures to albums for client’s to show their friends and families.

In other business, my middle child celebrated his 4th birthday a month ago. I took some pictures of him and forgot to share, so here they are! Happy Birthday Boo!! Better late than never, yes?

I took this month off to get caught up with the exception of a few sessions, including this one for our really good friends. I thought this location would be perfect for them as they love the great outdoors and love to camp, hike, and take nature walks.

I love their friendship and I feel SO blessed to have friends like them. They also are pretty darn gorgeous and make my camera smile with glee!

I took my kiddos out to try and get some recent pics of them together and let me tell you, I needed a nap after that one. It was INSANE! Mostly because of the baby. . .he is just not that into having his pictures taken lately, especially in the great outdoors! I still managed a few and wanted to share my little hooligans.

And because no post is good without a picture, I want to share this picture of my daughter. She will be six already this summer! I’m doing a 30 day project of each of my kids and this is from day 5. I was inspired to do this by a fellow photographer and am excited to be capturing my kids again!

I don’t know how I get so lucky photographing such amazingly beautiful families, but it sure is fun! The S family is definitely NO exception to this as you can see. Their little guy was such a happy, easygoing baby, although I sure did get a workout getting him to look at me. I’m sure mom and dad think I’m just about the nuttiest photographer out there now. This is the friend of mine who took my new bio picture and her little son. Isn’t she so gorgeous? I think it should be a crime to be as pretty as she is. I love her little guy Gavin too, he is such a sweetie!
