It’s the tale of two hero’s fighting for our country and falling in love in the midst of their venture. San Diego is just one of the many places Katy and Tim will be, and l am so lucky to have the chance to photograph a new part of their journey as they become parents. I cannot wait to meet their new little bundle of joy!

I made them kiss (a lot!) but I think Tim was super happy about that part of taking pictures.It’s hard to come into a session without knowing each other and feel the love for the camera right away. So I use various techniques, i.e. kissing and groping one another, to calm everyone’s nerves and in turn capture those real moments and expressions that really make a portrait come alive. I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to go through the pictures and be smiling from ear to ear. My daughter was watching me go through Katy and Tim’s pictures and asking, “Why are you smiling Mommy?” I told her it was because seeing other people happy and laughing made me happy too.This is the moment where you all go “Awwwww”.

Another beautiful evening on the beach with another GORGEOUS family! How do I get so lucky? I had a great time with this family and could relate to them well since their kids were almost exactly the same ages as my kiddos, hence the title deja vu! It took a lot of energy as it always does with little ones, but between the flatulence noises, singing silly songs, making high pitched squeaking sounds, and the tickle monster, I think we captured this family pretty darn well. Enjoy!!!

Meet the Bons family. Mom, Kristen (it’s a good name), is also a photographer in San Diego and just recently started her business and for good reason, she rocks! They won an auction I donated to our kids’ school and I couldn’t be happier to have had the opportunity to photograph their family. Not only were they easygoing, but they were fun. . .and I caught myself smiling and laughing while looking through all their pictures. Now that’s a good session!

I am going to share a lot so hold onto your seats and grab a cool, refreshing beverage! I think you’ll enjoy seeing just how fabulous their family is.

Meet the gorgeous Winsby family! Liz, aka Mom, is a fabulous Tulsa photographer, Elizabeth Winsby. I felt very honored to take her family pictures while they were out in San Diego for a summer vacation. Their two adorable girls were so much fun and full of energy. . .check out the last pic to see what I mean.We got some amazing shots and I am going to share WAY more than I normally do so hold on to your hats!!!!!!!!!

This is how I feel most days with my 3 kiddos, so I thought it would be fun to capture the “whirlwind”!

I love love love chunky babies. I’m particularly drawn to them because both of my boys were/are chubbalicious and it makes them so squeezable. This little guy was full of rolls and chunky goodness and I wanted to eat him right up! These are just some of my fav’s from the evening!!

Ahhh these words are all too familiar in my household and made me chuckle hearing them from these two ADORABLE cousin’s. How dare they get dragged from their warm cozy beds at Disneyland early in the morning to go and take pictures with some crazy lady with a camera!!!!! But they were so well-behaved despite it all and I got some GREAT smiles out of the deal. I had the pleasure of shooting this family and then taking some pictures of their nephew as well. It was so great to finally meet you Crystal and family!!! I can’t wait for baby #2 to arrive!!

When it comes to beautiful California families, you can’t get better than this family. I had so much fun capturing their silly family fun and interactions with each other. The 7 year old Ben gave me a run for my money, but I had him giggling with 7 year old chatter about girlfriends and bodily functions. Anna, the 12 year old, is gorgeous and her daddy better watch out for those boys soon!!!! Thank you so much H family for a great time! Enjoy your sneak peek!
