san diego professional photographer | good friends are hard to come by

You may remember me posting some pictures about 6 months ago of newborn baby Marlowe. She belongs to Brianne Brose, a great friend of mine and an amazing photographer here in San Diego to boot! She recently took some pictures of my kiddos and I (my hubbie is missing but that’s ok, a momma with just her babies is so nice to have pictures of). . .you can find them HERE. I felt so honored that she asked me to do some pictures of her and her girls in my studio so she returned the favor by taking those beautiful pictures that I will forever treasure.

Meet the gorgeous Brianne and her equally gorgeous baby girls!!! (I made the images a little smaller since there are so many!)

san diego family photographer | and now it’s time to say good-bye. . .

to the V-fab family. Rachael, Mark, and little O have been a part of our church family for many years now and life’s journey is taking them in a new direction. They are moving to Michigan at the end of this month so they wanted some beach portraits before they left the amazing state of California. Rachael is pregnant with her second baby and I’m bummed I won’t be able to see him/her grow up like I was able to see little Owen over this past 18 months. I took some maternity portraits of Rachael when she was pregnant with him too, so you may recognize her beautiful face!

Isn’t he so freaking cute?!?!?! Like a little doll.

My fav pic from the session!

Rach, we will miss your family and wish you all the best!!!!!!!!! I’m so honored I could capture these memories for you guys at the beach and know it will hold a special place in your hearts forever. xoxo!

san diego photographer | 13/52

We had an awesome Spring Break vacation in Palm Springs this past week! We just got home today and I am SWAMPED, but I had to post this one of Bray from this past week at our friend’s house before we left.  :)   Swinging is so much fun for kids and I remember loving it way back when. For some reason now it just makes me want to barf, haha! Hope you all have/had a wonderful Spring Break and have a wonderful Easter Sunday!

san diego child photographer | 12/52. . .the face of a boy

I missed two whole weeks! Yikes! Well, my excuse is that we moved and things have been a little insane. You all forgive me, don’t you? This week isn’t anything spectacular, but it does show you the face of the boy that I refer to you all lovingly as the destroyer.  As you can see, what comes with destroyer territory is a messed up face.  Just this week, the destroyer has eaten a whole entire pack of gum, pulled a chair to the toaster and stuck a knife in it trying to get a bagel out,  pulled his diaper off after doing his business. . .that was fun times, and I won’t even go into all of the things spilled or ruined by him.   Notice the bruise on his cheek and the owies on his eye, lip, and cheek. . .not to mention the scar from where he had stitches from falling on a branch.  He’s an active little dude and he will certainly have the scars someday to prove it! Luckily, he still manages to win us over with his cheeky grin, dimples, and snuggly bug demeanor.  Just look at that face. . .how can one get mad at him with a smile like that?!?!?!?

san diego baby photographer | katherine

Oh how I fell in love with Katherine. She was so beautiful and so so good to me! At almost 6 weeks old, I didn’t know how many sleepy shots we’d get. . .but check her out! She’s a superstar and I could have cuddled her all day.

We are almost all moved into our new home. The studio won’t be ready for a bit, but we should have our internet/cable hooked up on Saturday. Thank goodness!! It’s pretty hard to do this job without having an internet connection. :) Thankfully, I am able to use my parent’s computer today for this blog post. . .I was having withdrawls!!!

xoxo,

Kristin
