a contest. . .boooooooooyah!

So I’ve decided to join the contest ranks and throw one of my own. I thought it would be super dee duper fun! Yes I just said super dee duper. . .I never said I was cool. I get asked a lot where I get my hats from in my newborn pictures. So with the help of one of my FAVORITE etsy sellers, Angel, she will generously give away one boy and one girl hat. The hats will be a surprise and will come shipped to you free of charge! How cool is that!??!?!?! All you have to do is link this post somewhere (ie twitter, facebook, your fav forum) and leave a comment in this post telling me where you linked it. I will choose a random number with the random number chooser picker thingy online and the person with that comment number wins two adorable newborn hats!!!!! Yipppeeeeeeee!!!!! I was forewarned that little 3 week old Logan was feisty and a bit fussy, so I was a little nervous to take his pictures. Only he was a complete and total gem and stayed sleepy for me the whole time I took them. I have to give props to mom for keeping him awake for awhile before our session. . .it helped wonders!!! His adorable brother, Landon, sure gave me a run for my money though! I just LOVE the shot of Landon giving his baby brother a kiss. . .check out those eyelashes!!

I’m cheating just a bit this week. I am posting a picture of my niece for my 6/52. I originally thought it would be all about my kids, but I DID just have a brand new gorgeous niece born. And I did just do her pictures so it’s only right that she be my week 6! I will post another blog post with a TON more pictures, but for now I leave you with one teaser.

I usually get a little bit nervous when I have newborns older than a couple of weeks because you just never know how the session will go. It’s always good to get them within the first couple of weeks so they are super sleepy and still bendy. This little guy was 6 weeks old and although a wee bit more alert, was a complete angel. He is seriously one of the most beautiful babies I’ve ever seen! I’m so glad I could get so many sleeping shots of him still for his momma and daddy.

I get most of my hats from the awesome Etsy seller Angel Baby Treats! She is super sweet and so nice to work with.

san diego baby photographer | marlowe

Little Marlowe is 20 days old and such a teeeeeeny little peanut! I had amazon children so whenever I get to hold a 5 lb’er, it always makes me wish mine didn’t come out so ginormous. Marlowe is special because she belongs to my friend and fellow photographer, Brianne Brose. Brianne is someone I have admired since starting photography and she is also one of the nicest people I know.
