And because a post looks nekid without a pic, here’s a recent one of my little guy at the beach!
Meet the Bons family. Mom, Kristen (it’s a good name), is also a photographer in San Diego and just recently started her business and for good reason, she rocks! They won an auction I donated to our kids’ school and I couldn’t be happier to have had the opportunity to photograph their family. Not only were they easygoing, but they were fun. . .and I caught myself smiling and laughing while looking through all their pictures. Now that’s a good session!
I am going to share a lot so hold onto your seats and grab a cool, refreshing beverage! I think you’ll enjoy seeing just how fabulous their family is.

Oh how I love babies! Isn’t this little guy scrumptious?!?! I just loved his mommy and daddy’s bed as a backdrop too. I love when you can incorporate a part of the home in family portraits! I had trouble narrowing down my fav’s so I’m sharing a bunch of this gorgeous family!!

Lately I’ve been pondering this journey I’ve been on with photography. I had been searching for many years for my calling in life. Being a mom was one of them and there is nothing more important in my life than my kids. But I knew there was something else for me. Just ask some of my friends and family how many things I’ve tried and that haven’t quite worked out for me. But this. . .photography, it found ME and I still am in awe of what it has turned into and I cannot wait to see what the next few years bring.
I received an email from a friend of mine I met online way back when I was selling on Ebay (yup, that’s one of the things I tried!) and it brings me to tears each time I open it up and read it. She writes, “Your photography is simply amazing. You have a true, rare gift. When you can make someone who doesn’t even know your clients cry at the sheer beauty and emotion in the pictures, well that is just magic. I tear up every time I see your photos on your blog. I told Dh that if we ever have another baby, I don’t want the diamond earrings he’s promised. I want a plane ticket to fly you here to take pictures of my baby. I hope you know how special you are and just how talented you are. Because everyone else sure knows.” WOW! If I can elicit that kind of emotion in just one person, I feel very blessed with this gift God has given me!
I still have SO SO much to learn and so many areas to grow, but it’s a fun (albeit sometimes frustrating) journey and it’s so amazing to have you all along the ride with me! Thank you for your support and for reading my little old blog!!!!
Sorry for such a looooooong blog post, but I also wanted to share some pics of my girl who turned 6 at the beginning of this month!!
You’re having a girl?!?!?!?!?! Rock on! All of that boy’s are taking over the world speal for nothing. . . I guess the squeaky wheel gets the oil! Jessica and Silvester are having their first baby girl and I couldn’t be more excited for them than if it were my own. 
In other business, I’m hoping Jessica doesn’t rat me out for the crazy amount of times I snorted with laughter last night! I try to keep that little habit under wraps, so sorry guys! I’ll try to do better at the newborn session. Enjoy the pics!
What’s that you say again? It says Keep Off? We’re such rebels.
