Baby Caleb!! My husband, Cayson, and I were able to drive about 6 hours north to see our new nephew this weekend! He was 12 days old in these pictures and such an easy newborn to photograph. This is my sister in law’s first baby and I think he’s going to ease her into motherhood just fine!!! Enjoy your sneek peek Shellie and Matt!!!
My sister wanted her family pictures taken on the beach so I gladly obliged. For some reason shooting people I know is a little more nerve-racking. You would think it would be the other way around, but I guess I feel weird telling them what to do and making them smile at me. 
We had a good time though…..after the initial “WE CAN’T FIND YOU!” fiasco. They are a fun, kind of nutty family so I wanted to get some shots that showed that and I think I succeeded.
It’s so neat how the colors of the water vary with the light….it went from grey, to blue, to aqua in a matter of minutes. I didn’t want to make many of these in black and white since the ocean water is so gorgeous here. Enjoy the sneek peek “P” fam!
Oh and this first one I love because the littlest one is the queen in this family and the focus is totally on her.
Meet Matt and Holly……a gorgeous, so much-in-love couple. In fact, their love oozed out into pretty much every picture I caught of them. This is saying a lot coming from two people who have been married for 16 years and who are in the middle of probably one of the most trying times in their lives. Their faith, love, and gentle spirits captivated me and they were such a joy to photograph.

Anabelle has a severe form of Spina Bifida… you can read more about her and this family’s story Here and Here. Holly and Matt are scheduled to have their baby girl on August 16. I hope you all will join me in saying a prayer for them and their sweet Anabelle that God’s will would be done and that He might give them peace.
Brynn is so much fun to photograph. Not only does she have some KILLER blue eyes, but she does anything I ask of her without complaining. As a photographer, that makes life much easier for me! She has such a good heart too and a kind spirit. Hope you like these J Family!
