Ok, you’re going to have to forgive me for showing so many, but I just couldn’t help myself. I loved this session and I just couldn’t narrow down which ones to show. Little Emme was such a good baby and let me get so many great shots of her sleeping away unaware to all that was going on. I also did her mommy’s (who is stunning!!) pregnancy pictures which I thought would be fun to show a few of first. Enjoy this beautiful family!!!

2011 was an AMAZING year! I really could not have asked for anything better. I met so many awesome people through my business and while I didn’t get a chance to blog them every single session, I sincerely appreciate each and every client of mine. I am so thankful to all of you who chose me to capture your family this past year. I had so much fun seeing babies, who I photographed as newborns, grow up or families that I hadn’t seen for a year change so much! I am so thankful for all of my clients who value what I do and who have been so easy to work with. YOU all make this job so enjoyable and fun for me! So, thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you!!!

Here’s a taste of most of the sessions I did in 2011! I may have left out a few, but just take a look at all of the beauty I was so privileged to capture behind my lens this past year. I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store! Happy New Year everyone!

P.S. I had a good giggle that there is only one black and white image in the whole series. . .I think I must be drawn to color??

Me blogging this next family is WAY overdue!  They were so awesome to work with and it’s been great getting to know them.  Dad plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks and he gave us the awesome opportunity to watch his team play the Padres this summer.  They are a super gorgeous family, inside and out.  I also love the fact that they have a Brayden (the new little guy)  just like we do.

Well, I have to say. . .these three sure helped me with my track record for beautiful families. I had someone in a different state ask me once if I hired all of these beautiful people, and I told her California breeds beautiful people like you wouldn’t believe! I think I may have cried a little tear of joy when photographing this momma and her sweet girl out in the field. These are sessions I live for. . .not just because the people are beautiful (although that helps, lol!), but more importantly because I feel like I really captured the essence of their relationship. The last fleeting months of alone time with their first child before their family grows. I remember feeling nervous and sad for my first-born that she wasn’t going to be the only one anymore. Of course, I still had an immense amount of joy about our new addition, but I still just remember feeling a little bit sad for my first baby. It all ended up just fine, but these are truly moments to remember.

I shared this first one already, but she’s too pretty here not to share again!

And this one is probably my most fav so forgive me because I have to show it again.

Thank you C family for letting me in on this very exciting time in your lives! I cannot wait to meet your new bundle of joy!

I thought I’d share a few pictures from some recent sessions! I’ll be posting more hopefully over the next couple of weeks, but it’s a crazy, busy time all of a sudden with families here on vacation and babies being born! LOVE the spring time!

So you saw their teaser pic, and now you get to see their beauuuuuuutiful faces (ok your handsome face Todd). Their baby girl is due in just a week and I cannot wait to meet her!! Doesn’t Kamla look AMAZING?????? These two have hearts of gold and their baby is so lucky to be getting parent’s like them! This also means I’ll be able to spend more time with them, yippeee! I love when people have the same sense of humor as I do. I really am going to miss them after our journey together.Sigh. Sappy much?

I told them I was going to print this one out and put it up on my own wall. I love this one so much!

It’s the tale of two hero’s fighting for our country and falling in love in the midst of their venture. San Diego is just one of the many places Katy and Tim will be, and l am so lucky to have the chance to photograph a new part of their journey as they become parents. I cannot wait to meet their new little bundle of joy!

I made them kiss (a lot!) but I think Tim was super happy about that part of taking pictures.It’s hard to come into a session without knowing each other and feel the love for the camera right away. So I use various techniques, i.e. kissing and groping one another, to calm everyone’s nerves and in turn capture those real moments and expressions that really make a portrait come alive. I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to go through the pictures and be smiling from ear to ear. My daughter was watching me go through Katy and Tim’s pictures and asking, “Why are you smiling Mommy?” I told her it was because seeing other people happy and laughing made me happy too.This is the moment where you all go “Awwwww”.

You’re having a girl?!?!?!?!?! Rock on! All of that boy’s are taking over the world speal for nothing. . . I guess the squeaky wheel gets the oil! Jessica and Silvester are having their first baby girl and I couldn’t be more excited for them than if it were my own.

In other business, I’m hoping Jessica doesn’t rat me out for the crazy amount of times I snorted with laughter last night! I try to keep that little habit under wraps, so sorry guys! I’ll try to do better at the newborn session.Enjoy the pics!

What’s that you say again? It says Keep Off? We’re such rebels.
