Ok, you’re going to have to forgive me for showing so many, but I just couldn’t help myself. I loved this session and I just couldn’t narrow down which ones to show. Little Emme was such a good baby and let me get so many great shots of her sleeping away unaware to all that was going on. I also did her mommy’s (who is stunning!!) pregnancy pictures which I thought would be fun to show a few of first. Enjoy this beautiful family!!!

I showed a couple of images from this family session a few posts back and wanted to share more since I just loved this session! This family is not only gorgeous, but they sure dressed perfectly for pictures and they were a ton of fun (Not to mention the fall colors were beautiful here!). It was the perfect combination to get some great images of them all together and I had a wonderful time with them all.

As you may have noticed (or not noticed hee hee), I have not been blogging much. I made a decision last year to give up a job that I had been doing online for quite a long time. There were many reasons for doing this and at the time I was so stressed about the decision. Looking back, I really see how God was involved in that decision from the get-go. I saw that everything does happen for a reason even when you don’t understand it at the time, and now I feel like the last 6 months has given me my sanity back. I used to spend so much time on the computer that I felt this weird pull to it. Granted, I was working and making money by being on it, but I felt like my life had become sucked into that computer screen. My kids hated it, my husband hated it, and I was starting to hate the person I was becoming being consumed by being stuck in front of that computer screen all of the time. I just felt super anxious and stressed and it was not good for me at all. I thought just because I had a great opportunity in front of me that I needed to take it. I now realize how much happier I am and how much happier my family is that I am “present”. I still am running my photography business and staying busy with that, which I feel SO incredibly blessed by. The month of January was filled with the most amazing clients who truly made me realize how lucky I am to have this business. But I’ve really taken a step back from the online/social networking/computer world. I know I need to blog my sessions once in awhile as it’s always good to get my fresh work out there for clients to see. But I’m finding a great balance and I’ve been able to really get involved more in my kids’ school/activities. I have an almost 4-year-old that I’ve been able to hang out with A LOT more instead of ignore for hours a day. God really has taught me a lot about what matters this past year. Many events, some tragic, have taken place that have showed me how important it is to be present in my life and to really cultivate my relationships with my kids, my husband, and my friends. Overall, 2012 has already been an amazing year just a little over one month into it and I look forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings. Sappy. . .yes? But I had to share it.

2011 was an AMAZING year! I really could not have asked for anything better. I met so many awesome people through my business and while I didn’t get a chance to blog them every single session, I sincerely appreciate each and every client of mine. I am so thankful to all of you who chose me to capture your family this past year. I had so much fun seeing babies, who I photographed as newborns, grow up or families that I hadn’t seen for a year change so much! I am so thankful for all of my clients who value what I do and who have been so easy to work with. YOU all make this job so enjoyable and fun for me! So, thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you!!!

Here’s a taste of most of the sessions I did in 2011! I may have left out a few, but just take a look at all of the beauty I was so privileged to capture behind my lens this past year. I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store! Happy New Year everyone!

P.S. I had a good giggle that there is only one black and white image in the whole series. . .I think I must be drawn to color??

Happy Monday everyone!! Christmas is almost here already and I have not started shopping yet. . .I also have not done my Christmas cards yet. So I’m a little behind in this situation, but I’m sure it will all come together at the end, right??? Cross your fingers for me!

You may recognize this beautiful family from prior years on my blog. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them a few times now and it’s been awesome to watch their family grow and to be able to photograph their adorable kiddos. I really fell in love with so many images from their session so I had a hard time narrowing down the ones I wanted to show.I have a lot of beautiful families to show off, so I’ll hopefully get a chance to do that this week or next!

Back in October, little Adlen was turning two and I had the honor of photographing her for her birthday. She had the most amazing blue eyes and the most adorable little smile. I’ve had my fair share of photographing two-year-old kiddos lately and boy is it a work-out! I absolutely adore photographing that age because of their sweet smiles and laughs that I have to be quick to capture or it’s just a big blur of energy flying by. I know, I know. . .I’ve been a TERRIBLE blogger. I love showing off my clients and I feel bad I haven’t been doing much of that lately. Things have been so crazy and blogging has just had to be pushed to the back of the priority list, especially around the holiday time! But I do want to show a bunch of images from recent sessions. I am still missing some sessions (sorry to those of you I’m missing!) but I promise to try and get to them soon!!! For now, enjoy the beautiful people I am so lucky to get to photograph!

 

First up, Miss Tanya and her fabulous son, Jimmy.  They flew out here from Missouri for a little mother/son bonding time and we had a blast running around at the beach together. 

 

Next up is little Ava who was mere 4 days new at our session. . . such a sweet pea!

 

Then I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family! The chunk on 4 month old Jack was so adorable and reminded me a ton of my boys at that age.  And his 19 month old brother was a total ham and such a little poser!

 

You may recognize these two cuties from their session last fall! They have grown a crazy amount and kept me on my toes! I loved seeing their little personalities really shine and their mom is the perfect mom for twins (Also, super gorgeous to boot!). <3

 

Little 6 month old Isabella was not into me at first. . .in fact, she screamed whenever I would look at her!! But as you can see, after awhile she sure gave me some adorable smiles.  Such a little cutie!

Happy Hump Day everyone!!! I am excited to share this session from back in August of this gorgeous family because they were soooo much fun to work with. Not only were laid-back and ready to have fun, but they had THE happiest baby ever. Apparently, this little cutie did not smile for her prior photo session back in their hometown, but you would never know it after looking at these pictures. She was all sorts of smiley and was a complete joy to photograph.   And boy is she an exact clone of her daddy or what?!!??   

 

Ok, now I’m off to clean. I drank a Venti Iced Coffee this morning without eating any breakfast.  Caffeine Jitters galore over here!!!!

I mentioned in an earlier blog post that I’ve been photographing this family since Caroline (the older munchkin) was born. I have had so much fun watching her grow and now watching her little sister Maddy grow. It’s a lot of fun to be a part of documenting a family’s life and I feel so, so honored that they have MY pictures of their family adorning their walls. They really all are so beautiful, inside and out, and I look forward to capturing them again here in a few months for Christmas pictures!!

It’s been a busy month over here! We went on an 8 day trip to Maui and sessions have been in full force since I’ve gotten home. I’ve met so many amazing and beautiful people in the last month. Here are some recent pics from the sessions I haven’t had a chance to blog yet along with a couple from Hawaii!!!!

 

 

These two are cousins and were so fun and hilarious. I have many more to share from their family shoot out on this gorgeous property!

 

These are cousins from a 16 family member session I did recently! This group of kids (a couple aren’t pictured as they are running behind this crew) were also SO much fun and we captured some really great moments.

 

This is Kalli at around 2 weeks old. . . isn’t she gorgeous?? She is the daughter of one of my best friends from back in high school!

 

Little Nicholas was an adorable 2 week old little man!!!! Loved his sweet, red lips!

 

These next two beautiful girlies are from one of my favorite client families.   I’ve been photographing them since little Caroline (below) was a newborn!

 

This little beauty came with her two bigger brothers to my studio for her 3 month portraits. . .we even managed some sleeping ones of her!

 

Aren’t they breathtaking?  Love this image of 8 year old big brother and his 2 week old sister.

 

I’m missing a few sessions that were this past week, but I hope to show some of those soon!!!
